What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or a service stores in your browser. They can remember a setting, recognize a returning browser or count visits. Some come from the site you are reading, and others come from outside services connected to it.
Cookies used on ExtremeSpec Auto
The site uses one set of cookies of its own choosing: analytics cookies from Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure visits in aggregate, such as how many people read a page. It sets these cookies in your browser so that it can tell visits apart. We do not use them to identify you by name.
The site does not show display ads at the moment, so there are no advertising cookies from us. It has no user accounts or memberships, which means no login cookies either. Google Search Console, which we use to see how the site appears in Google Search, does not place cookies on readers’ browsers.
Cookies from affiliate links
Some links on the site lead to stores such as Amazon. After you click one, the store or network may set its own cookie so that a purchase can be credited to the referral. These cookies are controlled by that company and are covered by its own policies, not ours. Details on how the links work are on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
How to block or delete cookies
Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or be asked before a site sets one. The settings are usually under privacy or security in the browser menu. Blocking cookies does not stop anyone from reading the site, because the pages load and work the same way without them.
